Giorgia Angiuli releases a trippy hard techno single with psy-trance influences and a remix by Mattia Trani.

The release comes from Galactica Music, linked to the world-famous Galactica events and festival, which are known for booking everyone from DVS1 to I Hate Models. The record label often champions artists that have played their events, and Mattia Trani is one of their resident DJs.

Known for his love of hardware synths, Giorgia Angiuli is a multi-instrumentalist and live act who produces a range of electronic styles. His slamming techno tracks have been featured on labels ranging from Pan Pot’s Second State to Indira Paganotto’s ARTCORE, and this fast-paced single is another explosive track.

Mattia Trani is founder of Pushmaster Discs, but he has also been a feature of other influential imprints such as Nina Kraviz’s Trip and Marco Faraone’s UNCAGE. His sound has evolved throughout a decade long career, and he is currently at the forefront of the modern hard techno scene.

“Shazam” is the solo original on the release, and it’s got a bouncy bassline and hammering kick drum laying a foundation for Arabic melodies and a euphoric lead. This multi-cultural production also has reggae influences, and the cinematic breakdown makes good use of the track’s namesake trippy vocal.

Mattia Trani’s remix of “Shazam” utilises a rumbling bassline and crunching industrial percussion to toughen the groove, while gritty rave stabs add to its brutal intensity.
